Compliance and data protection

Plain answers about what we collect, what your store tells us and how we keep it safe.

Who this covers

This page explains how PrintO’s website and Licence Hub (the system that issues and checks licences) handle data. It covers the people who buy and manage a licence. It does not cover the customers of a print shop that runs PrintO: each shop is run by its own owner, on its own server, and looks after its own customers’ data.

The data we hold about you

  • Your name, email address and (if you give it) phone number and business name.
  • Your purchases: invoices, amounts, payment references and the licences, add-ons and services you bought.
  • Your licence details: the key, its expiry and the domains it is installed on.
  • Messages you send us through the contact form or by email.
  • Support notes our team keeps so we can help you faster.

What your store tells us

When a store is activated and once a day after that, it sends the Hub a short check-in. It contains only:

  • the store’s web address (domain) and a random installation ID;
  • the PrintO version and PHP version it runs;
  • a count of orders in the last 30 days (just the number).

It never sends your customers’ details, order contents, prices, artwork or payment information. We use it to confirm the licence, offer the right update and spot installations that need help.

Payments

You can pay through Bachs’ hosted checkout or by bank transfer to our account. Your payment details are handled by Bachs and do not reach our servers. We keep the invoice, the amount, the date and Bachs’ payment reference so we can issue your licence and give you a receipt.

How we protect it

  • Licences are digitally signed, so they cannot be forged or edited.
  • Secret settings, such as payment keys, are stored encrypted.
  • You have no password to lose: customers sign in with a one-time link sent to their email, which expires after 30 minutes.
  • Our staff have separate roles and only see what their job needs; two-step sign-in is available and every important action is logged.
  • All pages are served over HTTPS.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will do so unless we must keep a record, for example invoices we need for accounting and tax. We aim to handle personal data in line with Nigerian data protection law, including the Nigeria Data Protection Act, 2023. Email sales@printo.ng and we will reply within one working day.

How licences behave

A licence is for the plan and number of domains you bought. If it expires, your store keeps running during a 14-day grace period; after that, changes in the admin are paused, and later the store goes offline until you renew. Your data is never deleted. See the FAQ for details.

Report a problem

If you think you have found a security problem, please tell us at sales@printo.ng before sharing it publicly. We will look at it straight away.
